Offer Location: Växjö, Sweden
Working hours: 40 hours/week
Job description
The work consists of first level and second level, third level education and research in engineering. Instruction includes the development and implementation of courses and supervision of theses. The work is focused on production and examples of application include production flow optimization or lean production in manufacturing. Tasks will to some extent be of an interdisciplinary nature.
As a professor, you get special responsibility regarding regional collaboration with industry in the field. One goal is to develop cooperation with regional companies to join them in conducting R & D projects. It also includes efforts to develop collaboration between universities, business and the community in general. The work includes the development of commission education and different types of administration.
Admission requirements
Qualified for appointment as a professor who has demonstrated both academic and pedagogical skills. The scientific skills to be demonstrated through independent active research at current national standards both qualitative and quantitative and should significantly exceed those applying for appointment as an associate professor.
Assessment criteria with estimation
• Demonstrated skills in the planning and management of research and management of research work where other postdoctoral researchers involved, as well as supervision of post-graduate students.
• Proven ability to obtain external funding.
• The educational skills must be demonstrated by teaching in both undergraduate and graduate education. This regarding the planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching, supervision and examination.
• Industrial experience
• Proven abilityto interact,create and maintain networks with the community; academia, businessand public organizations.
• Demonstrated good communication skills in English and Swedish in speech and writing. If the ability to teach in Swedish is missing holder is expected to do so within two years.
