High Voltage Products develop, manufacture and market high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories within the Power Grids division. The unit has 900 employees. Product areas include: HV Breakers, HV Components - arresters, instrument transformers, capacitors and cooling systems and Cable Accessories (Cable Connectors) - cable accessories and peripherals for power cables.
Your responsibilities
You will be part of High Voltage Products Surge Arrestors unit and have responsibility for the work environment and workflow of about 20 people.
Your important mission will be to enable your employees to grow and develop with safe and steady leadership.
Following procedures and policies you ensure the right capacity and competence for each production area to meet set production goals.
In addition to the work you do with your employees, you will have many contacts within the company, but also with other units within ABB, as well as with suppliers and contractors.
You will be living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
You are a driven person with technical education or equivalent work experience who has a good understanding and knowledge of production flows.
Previous experience in managerial or supervisory positions has given you the ability to see the importance of well managed employees and experience needed to optimize the individual's productivity.
As we are a global company, it is important that in addition to Swedish, you are fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
Knowledge of programs, such as MS Office, SAP, ERP LN and ECS, is important while good understanding of collective agreements and labor law is required.
As a person, you like to work with other people and feel comfortable in a leadership role. That means that you listen and coach your employees, while daring to be clear and assertive when needed.
You are goal oriented and used to achieving results.
You are interested in people and have the ability to build internal and external relationships.
