Production leaders

Tuve plant is a complete assembly plant for heavy-duty Volvo trucks with a total of 1500 employees. We are now looking for Production Leaders to the production area Final Assembly 1, which consists of six production leaders that are responsible for the flow (kitting, pre-assembly and line assembly) and includes axle, engine and cab assembly on the trucks. As a production leader you are responsible for approximately 35 coworkers and report to the area manager.

Tuve plant is now in a transformation where we are increasing our production capacity. We are implementing new ways of working to become a more effective and completive plant. We need to review everything we do in order to become smarter, leaner and more effective.

The production leaders have a very important role in this change and are driving the work with improving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. We seek persons who can organize, lead, and most importantly, motivate and coach his/her team with the goal to reach the area?s targets. An essential part of your work will be to actively and independently work with developing and motivating your organization.

In your work you will actively drive the cross-functional work with your partners. You will be expected to take own initiatives and to have a strong desire to work for change and improvement. We also expect you to be a role model within your organization and to have a passion for lean manufacturing.

In order to succeed as a Production leader you should be a good communicator and able to energize your coworkers to reach our targets. We are looking for characteristics like initiative, courage and integrity, perseverance and drive for results.

Qualifications and critical competencies for the position
• Leadership skills and experience
• Technical education
• Experience from a modern manufacturing organization
• Knowledge in LEAN-tools, problem solving and continuous improvements
• Proficiency in Swedish and English
• Customer orientation mindset
• Structured with good analytical skills, logical thinking and ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to coach and teach
• Excellent communication skills and a good listener.
• Computer skills
