We are seeking a product specialist to the Farm Supply team as a temporary replacement during a maternity leave starting beginning of August 2014 until September 2015. The product specialist is to be responsible for mainly clothing but also some accessories like our "famous" dish brush. You will be based in Tumba.
As a product specialist in Farm Supply you have an important role in providing efficient solutions to our customers and make sure the assortment is attractive and profitable through out the lifecycle. This is being done by analysing trends and the market, running trainings as well as marketing the assortment.
Your major tasks will be:
In your daily work you will be responsible for the life cycle of the products -from investigating new product opportunities, develop and launch a new product, maintain its attractiveness and profitability when it's launched as well as phase out of products.
When sales- and market organizations need support you are the one they turn to in terms of technical support, quality issues and various questions connected to the assortment. You are also responsible to promote the assortment towards the markets with good marketing and sales argument, mainly value based selling, that they can use towards customers.
Besides the close work with the markets you will work closely with sourcing and external suppliers as well as other DeLaval entities e.g. stock management and central marketing. Some international travelling is required.
Experiences and skills requirements:
We believe you have a passion for farming and good understanding in animal husbandry. You would enjoy to work in a cross cultural and cross functional team where you are taking the lead. In order to be successful it is important you have project management and planning skills. If you also have business sense and hands-on experience in marketing or sales it will be even better.
We would like you to have at least some years of work experience after your university degree in agriculture or equivalent. We also would like you to have good understanding for the assortment in mind preferably from own practical experience in the business. We take for granted you are fluent in English - written as well as spoken.
