Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Autonomous vehicle development at Scania is advancing at a very high pace and self-driving trucks and buses on public roads will soon see the light of day. Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research at Scania is responsible for developing, testing and piloting future autonomous concepts. This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies and prepare these for industrialization.

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to strengthen and lead our team to create valuable and easily consumable information from operational data and enabling more accessible analytics.

Your work as a Product Owner will be leading an agile team, which is responsible for the complete process from requirement handling to production and maintenance.



Your work assignment
Your task is to lead developers to build the platform to be able to connect and transform data from Scania's autonomous vehicle and other data sources. The highest goal is to interact with stakeholders and aid them in the self-service data driven journey.

You will design powerful data pipelines that process fast sensor streams, leverage appropriate data stores, and offer easy-to-use APIs as well as develop and deploy high-quality software using modern tooling and frameworks. This is a great opportunity to participate in developing the new logging solution which must meet the upcoming demands from Big data handling and Machine Learning.

• Project management skills including creating, managing, maintaining and communicating product plans to stakeholders at all levels throughout entire process
• Accountable for the team to reach all targets and ensuring their correct prioritisation on deliveries.
• As a person, you are structured but can handle ad hoc initiatives and changed conditions and short deadlines.
• Ensure investments opportunities/MVPs/Features are understood by the team. Inform customers and stakeholders about unmitigated risks, dependencies and other obstacles that might affect delivery.
• Accountable for securing delivery of appropriate, secure and reliable services throughout the life cycle in accordance to internal and external regulations and standards.
• Communicate product vision (Product roadmap) and backlog items.
• Prioritize and manage backlogs.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field alternative equivalent work experience
