Are you passionate about health and want to help your users change to a healthier lifestyle?

SHIP (Schibsted Health Integrated Product) is the team behind building the shared product for the weight-loss services Viktklubb.se (Aftonbladet, Sweden) and Vektklubb.no (VG, Norway). Viktklubb.se and Vektklubb.no have been helping their members lose weight since 2003 and 2005 respectively. Vektklubb was born from the Viktklubb product and over several years, they diverged into two separate products with a different code base. The essential product features stayed the same, and now they're re-joining forces in a shared product! We're subscription-based, the product service serves about 60 000 users in total, and makes up for a total revenue of about +50 million per year within Schibsted.

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing a cross-functional, distributed team with UX in Stockholm and developers in Krakow. You are responsible for creating and executing a product vision and mission for the consumer business services Viktklubb and Vektklubb. You will work closely with the business stakeholders of respective teams and other PMs across the Schibsted Media Product & Tech. You will report directly to the Product Management Lead in Niche & Services.

You should be passionate about helping people finding a way to a healthier lifestyle. You recognize that health is closely connected to the quality of the food people eat, as well as exercise. You should also respect that you'd work with a sensitive user base and handle sensitive data in the product.

Your responsibilities include:

- Working with UX, translating research into a deep understanding of the target users, their needs and how to deliver product value and delight
- Collaborating closely with your stakeholders and define a product vision and craft a winning strategy for Schibsted's weight-loss products
- Translate strategy into detailed roadmaps, requirements and prototypes
- Develop, prioritize and deploy new features and products in close collaboration with editorial, UX, tech and commercial teams
- Formulating Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and achieving these
- Applying and developing agile product management practices to achieve the team's objectives
- Gathering and sharing insights and best practices with your team and stakeholders
- Communicating the SHIP and VK vision internally and externally
- Contributing to the product management community in Schibsted

We are looking for an experienced product manager who:

- Provides clear product direction and knows how to motivate and manage a distributed cross-disciplinary team to build successful products
- Builds partnerships through collaboration
- Is passionate about data-informed and agile product development
- Has the ability to inspire and guide teams without direct authority and provide hands-on leadership
- Has experience with digital product development and management
- Has a degree level qualification in business or technology, or equivalent experience

We can offer you:

- The opportunity to play a critical part in defining Schibsted's consumer business products of tomorrow
- Working together with a diverse and highly qualified team in Schibsted Media in shaping the future health consumer business experience for our publishers
- A team culture where we encourage ourselves and others to try, learn and succeed

Period of contract:

June 1st, 2020 - May 31st, 2021 (parental leave replacement for the period of 1 year)
