Right now our Product Planning Industrial department is looking for a Product Manager Market Adaptations
Challenge description:
Volvo Penta is providing world class Marine and Industrial engines and drivelines to OEM's all around the world. The products are in-housed developed based on market expectations and business opportunities. The role of the Product Planning Industrial department is to manage the industrial product offering. This covers the product life cycle from starting up a product project until phasing the product out when it's no longer needed. This is done by taking into account input from customers, market trends and business strategy.
In the continuous growth of our business, Volvo Penta is making adaptations to our current products to win new customers. We are now looking for a Product Manager for the Industrial segment with the responsibility to handle the offering of market adaptations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business case assessment of new market requests of product changes
Responsibility for the Market adaptation budget
Lead pre-studies for market adaptation initiatives
Order the product changes from Product Development (in Projects).
Support sales with product and technology knowledge.
Release new product adaptations to the market
Competence Profile:
We think that you are an outgoing person who likes to connect with other people inside and outside the company in an international environment. We believe that you have an ability to analyze, prioritize and structure the way forward with a business oriented mindset. You have a diesel engine experience from sales or product development and you are dedicated to the products.
Key skills:
Master of Science or equivalent
Business driven attitude
Structured way of working
Excellent communication skills
Teamwork oriented
Fluent in English
Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of the Volvo Group product development process is of advantage but not a prerequisite.
