Role responsibilities
• Contribute to the growth and maintenance of Nordnet Design System that serves as the foundation for our product ecosystem across our App, Web, and CMS platforms.
• Elevate processes and work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product designers, and copywriters to ideate and implement design solutions that align with our product vision.
• Ensure design consistency and usage of best practices throughout the product development lifecycle, maintaining a high-quality user experience.
• Develop component documentation around component usage and its best practices.
• Develop interactive prototypes to gather user feedback and iterate on designs for optimal user engagement.
• Conduct research and usability testing to deeply understand user needs and pain points, integrating findings into design decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and emerging technologies to bring fresh, cutting-edge ideas to the table.
• Communicate and advocate for Design System changes and updates to our Product organisation.
What we do in Design System team
We are building and providing a design system which enables our product designers and developers to quickly create consistent experiences between our App, Web and CMS platform.
We create and maintain components, providing guidance and documentation around its usage as well as governance processes.
You are
• Passionate about growing and maintaining scalable design system together with the design system team.
• Eager to work closely with Design Leads and Head of Product Design to strengthen the collaboration with the product design community and actively promote the design system within the product teams.
• Acting as a Design System advocate and mentor able to make a significant and measurable impact on the success of the design system and over all design quality.
• Proactive and constantly exploring fields within our platform to identify potential improvements and scalable solutions that are helping elevate our Design System consistency.
• Acting as a bridge between Product Designers and help steer design consistency and drive harmonisation within the Product organisation.
• Good collaborator that enjoys collaborating closely with Web and App development teams in order to bring innovation in front of our customers.
• Innovative and enjoying the process of creation of micro animations and prototypes to communicate your design solutions.
You have
• Proven experience as a Design System designer or Product Designer with a strong focus within the Design System field.
• Experience in working with Design Tokens, Design Variables and Design Systems design, documentation, and development of the same.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Maze, Miro, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for pixel-perfect design.
• Good understanding of front-end development and its impact on design systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is a plus.
