hela Sverige At Global Product Development, a division of Pharmaceutical Technology and Development, we focus on the design and development of commercial products and processes, contributes to new product introductions and continuous improvement of launched products. Products in scope are e.g. Immediate Release and Controlled Release oral dosage forms of small molecules but also formulations of new modalities such as polynucleotides for diverse therapeutic areas.
We are now looking for skilled personnel (2-3 roles) with a knowledge in the area of pharmaceutical technology science and an interest in product design and development for our Swedish units. These roles will be primarily laboratory based with combination of theoretical and technical approaches. You will share your knowledge in a common effort with a team of colleagues to drive drug development projects forward and acquire an understanding of the drug development process.
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist to join the product development teams at our Gothenburg site.
The role
Working with us you will:
* Design and develop high quality drug products for late phase clinical studies and commercialization, using your understanding of drug development and relevant requirements from medical authorities.
* Be part of cross-functional teams delivering drug projects, including contributions to regulatory documentation and submissions .
* Take part in tech transfer of manufacturing methods and give consultation to internal and external parties.
* Manage your own work to achieve drug development and improvement project targets, in a timely fashion and to agreed quality standards, by applying technical knowledge and expertise as well as interpreting results and adapting investigations as appropriate.
* Collaborate with scientific and/or technology networks to increase base-line knowledge and create awareness of new developments in relevant areas.
* Take responsibility for common laboratory equipment and facilities.
Minimum experience/requirements
* Educational background at graduate level (e.g. MSc or PhD) in a discipline relevant to pharmaceutical technology, formulation science or equivalent qualifications.
* Have sufficient understanding in the disciplines of pharmaceutical technology, formulation science or related scientific area.
Preferred experience/competence
* Experience from pharmaceutical technology/formulation work of solid oral and/or liquid dosage formulations for oral and parenteral administration within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience of design and development of drug delivery systems for new modalities such as oligonucleotides, mRNA or peptides (industrial and/or academic fields) is desirable
* Technical competence in the field of formulation development.
* Knowledge of colloid science and material science.
* Experience of working in a GMP environment.
* Experience of working with experimental design.
