Job Description
We are looking for a Print Designer for our Assortment team at Weekday. The Assortment department consists of Weekday Woman, Weekday Man & Monki.
As a Print Designer you will play a key role in our creative team on our exciting & ambitious journey towards our Assortment on Weekday. The core responsibility of the Print Designer is to design & create the best prints (all over prints & placement prints) for our target customer to drive responsible growth in all omni sales channels. You will work closely with the Print Lead and other Print Designers on the team. You are a creative with high trend sensitivity while yet being commercial and you have a great understanding of our target customer. Able to be responsible and drive the vision for the prints of the Womenswear customer, and able to design for unisex and the men's customer. You actively follow and react to our customers' needs to secure a relevant assortment and drive responsible growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design the best prints with the ability to adapt to our different assortment target customers in collaboration with the product design team
Research from your surroundings, global analysis competitors & fashion forward trends
Identify seasonal print keys, drive new & commercial directions
Constantly follow, identify & react on tendencies based on customer insights & surrounding analysis in collaboration with the product team
Drive the print development in a responsible way from start to end in close collaboration with the product team
Identify new, relevant print techniques
Identify, develop & drive the way of working to reach our overall goals within relevance, agility, price and responsibility
Responsible for and understanding of all product policy / legal approvals concerning fashion prints
Close collaboration with the design lead, the print design lead and product team
Qualifications
You are creative yet commercial, you enjoy teamwork with other designers and functions. You have high fashion print trend sensitivity and a great understanding for the youth customer need. You are collaborative and communicative. You are driven by the opportunity to maximize the potential of our products and assortment in a creative and responsible way.
We are looking for:
BA/MA in Fashion Textile Print or equivalent
An experienced Print Designer with a minimum of 3-4 years working experience
Your portfolio should show you strong creativity in hand drawn artistic prints, all over prints and placement prints/graphics with a Womens focus but able to show Unisex/mens print competence also
Strong fashion intelligence & strong sense for timing
Creative & visionary
Customer focused with a strong sense of commerciality & fashion relevance
Flexible & solution orientated approach
Action driven with excellent organizational & planning skills
Collaborative team player
Great communicator professional, informative, and confident way
Agile, adaptable and growth mindset
Self-leading and able to work hands on independently with a strategic mindset
