We are now looking for a principal innovation manager that will lead innovation activities and be part of our team.
The role
As a Principal Innovation Manager, you initiate and lead innovation all the way from idea generation to establishment of new connected service offers and new ventures.
Key responsibilities
You will lead the innovation and new growth activities from discovery to acceleration of market validated service business concepts within selected strategic growth areas
You will Identify and validate new opportunities for service business enabled by digital technologies and thereby create new business for the Volvo Group
You will empower and lead multidisciplinary teams with your experience in digital business models, entrepreneurship, and product management
You will build and actively leverage networks and ecosystem partners into the innovation and venture initiatives
You will manage internal and external stakeholders proactively and engage in knowledge exchange into the innovation community within Volvo Group
The position reports to the Director Business Innovation & Foresight and is part of the Volvo Group Connected Solutions Innovation Lab.
Your profile
You should have proven experience from:
Building new digital business including, strategy, Go-to-market plans, and digital technologies
Leading multi disciplinary teams in different phases from idea generation to commercialization
Methods such as business model design, design thinking, business strategy and lean start-up methodology
Understanding of market trends and experienced in formulating and communicating new business propositions
Domains related to the Volvo Group's service growth areas, Logistic services, transport solutions, Energy services, Construction site operations, or marine applications
You have experience from Management consulting, Product management or having started your own company
We expect at least three years of experience in similar roles.
You should:
Have high entrepreneurial drive with strong focus on delivering new customer values, executing on goals and a hands-on mentality
Be a team player
Characterized by getting things done with humility, integrity, and creativity
Like to work in a fast paced, multicultural, and global environment
Have humor, because in the end, working here should be fun!
You have a master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career, and you are fluent in English. International business experience is a merit.
