www.esab.comAs a main group in our Equipment business the Global R&D Equipment and Automation, has a key role in achieving successful product development for manual and automation welding equipment. It is done by cross-functional delivery teams that has design ownership for products over its whole life time.
The Power Electronics Designer will be part of the Power Source Delivery team in Gothenburg. The Power Source delivery team is a part of our Global R&D for Equipment and Standard Automation products.
As a Power Electronics Designer your responsibilities will be to:
• Analyze, develop and document new products from start to end.
(Select components, simulate/calculate, schematics, layout, verification- and test specification, verify)
• Drive pre-development of new technologies for Power Sources
• Maintain existing products.
• Develop his/hers role as a specialist.
Who are you?
You find it exciting to be a part of ESAB's Center of Welding Excellence and want to be a contributor,
bringing ESAB welding products into the next generation.
We believe that you have an MSc in Power Electronics or corresponding competence received in other ways and have been working at least 5 years with Power electronic design such as analog and digital power modules and inductive components.
As a person you have strong technical interest with analytical skills. You are open minded and innovative with a strong driving force to plan, process and resolve issues in a timely manner. You are excellent in both written and verbal communications in English and preferably also in Swedish.
You like to work in cross-functional teams and you have a strong interest in working according to Agile methods.
The position is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Some traveling is required.
