The Department of Social work is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Linnaeus University. REIS - Research on Elderly in Social Sciences, a multidisciplinary research environment based at the Department invites applications for one Post Doc.

Field of subject for the position

The research group seeks one Post-Doctoral researcher in care of older people.

Placement

Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden.

Extent and period

The position refers to two years, 100 %.

Context of position

The main objective and content is to study care of older people from various perspectives such as social, political, economic and psychological foci in a social welfare context.

20% of work time concerns teaching and supervision at the undergraduate and graduate level. 

Qualification requirements:

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in social work, sociology or psychology (not older than 3 years prior to the deadline for the application). The applicant must not have been employed as a postdoctoral fellow for more than a year in the same or a related research area at Linnaeus University.

To be eligible for this position good knowledge of English, orally as well in writing, is required.

Assessment criteria

The work will take place within the framework of a research group why good cooperation and flexibility is a prerequisite. An additional merit is experience and good knowledge of the care of older people.

Particular importancewill be given to the applicant's potential for a successful career as a researcher and a teacher.
