Postdoc position
in Natural Resource and/or Environmental Economics
Research environment:The Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre at the Faculty of Forest Sciences is located in Alnarp in southern Sweden. Research and teaching is carried out within silviculture, forest planning, economics and ecology (www.ess.slu.se).
We would now like to expand our research group within the field of economics.
Tasks: The holder of the postdoc position will work on welfare economic analyses of different dimensions of multiple use of forests, such as recreation, biodiversity, effects of climate change, and valuation of non-market priced goods and services.
At the Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre there are good possibilities for co-operation between different scientific disciplines. It is desirable that the holder of the postdoc joins such co-operation to study adaptation to climate changes effects in the use of forests.
The position is for two years, with at least 80% of the time available for research.
Qualifications: The applicant should have a doctoral degree in natural resource economics, environmental economics, or in a related field. Experience from valuation of non-market goods and services is beneficial. The applicant should have a demonstrated ability of conducting independent research. The applicant should be fluent in English, both oral and written, and have a willingness to participate in intra- and interdisciplinary research teams.
