Late stage functionalisation of peptides and new modalities (in collaboration with Prof. Phil. S. Baran)

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Late Stage Functionalisation of peptides it?s essential that you have:
• A PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and/ or medicinal chemistry
• Excellent skills in classical organic chemistry including, purification and structural elucidation techniques
• An in-depth knowledge and understanding of late stage functionalisation methodology like CH functionalisation and modern organometallic chemistry
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• An outstanding track record of research, proven by high impact publications in peer reviewed journals, patents and/ or talks at scientific meetings
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
• Expertise in late stage functionalisation reactions techniques
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with peptide synthesis advantageous
• Proven Track record of problem solving and timely project delivery in organic chemistry/ medicinal chemistry
• Previous Post doc experience will be an advantage
• Demonstration of the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams that relay on high levels of collaboration and communication within team and across department
• Has displayed creativity in addressing and solving difficult scientific questions
• Strong passion and commitment towards science

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Late Stage Functionalisation of peptides you will:
• Independently designing and executing experiments and interpret results
• Work towards defined goals in an efficient, safe and scientifically sound manner
• The ability to generate and test new hypothesis
• Willingness to share expertise and ideas, consistently demonstrate flexibility and open-mindedness
• Presenting results at scientific conferences and publishing scientific papers in high quality, peer-reviewed journals
