Volvo Group Trucks Technology - Powertrain Engineering is the global, strategic center for powertrain development within the Volvo Group. The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions, driven axles and design of powertrain solutions for the future such as hybrid drivelines and engines for alternative fuels with strong contribution in reducing the CO2 emissions in our society.
Electrical vehicle development is moving rapidly and is creating exiting challenges for us within Charging Systems and for this we are searching for a dedicated group manager for the System design and Software team. To meet these challenges we have very high focus on developing new charging systems and verifying it in the most efficient way.?Customer requirements for high quality vehicles must be met or hopefully even exceeded with our new electric products. To ensure that this is possible we need to be leading in the area of charging.
Job description
You will join and manage a team of dedicated persons working with systematization and software development to create the best possible charging solutions for our customers to meet their high demands. All in all with high focus on technology push and cost.
You are going to be involved in technical decisions and have the responsibility from power inlet to storage solutions as well as evolving ways of working.
You will join global networks to understand trends and impact standardization of charging systems.
In an inspiring environment promoting innovation you will together with the team of highly skilled engineers get the opportunity to develop your professional as well as your individual skills.

Wanted profile
We are searching for a person who is passionate for electromobility, loves to develop people and teams while creating strong business relations. Broad knowledge in system and software development is a must and this within automotive and power electronics, batteries and/or electric motors is very meriting.
Your experience from agile workflow will contribute to our ways of working in this area.
We believe you have a strong can do mentality and willingness to strike for new business opportunities with future electric vehicles and charging.
You are a person who likes to see results on a daily basis.
