We are now searching for a Patient Safety Agreement Coordinator to AstraZeneca, the position is to be filled immediately and placed in Mölndal, Göteborg. This is a consultant assignment and will proceed until 2015-12-31.

The Area

Global Regulatory Affairs, Patient Safety & Quality Assurance (GRAPS&QA)

GRAPS & QA is a global department with the mission to ensure that the Global Regulatory Affairs, Patient Safety & Quality Assurance organisation proactively and optimally applies our knowledge, strategies and operation to make the most meaningful difference to patient health through the development, quality assurance, registration and safety surveillance of our medicines across their life cycle.

This position will be in the Alliance Management Team within the Delivery and Enablement section and the purpose with this business area is to provide strategic enabling expertise and services, and operational delivery excellence in support of securing license to operate across the enterprise.

D&E will anticipate, define and manage the processes, information assets and partnerships that are critical to support scientific and business deliverables and to ensure continual regulatory compliance and patient safety.

Tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for a Patient Safety Scientist and the position holders will report to the global Section Director in Alliance Management. The position will require close collaboration with the global Patient Safety lead of Licensing Agreements, customers (internal and external) and peers. Work is performed in global teams to support pharmacovigilance processes and standards.

The team optimizes AstraZeneca's interactions and contract negotiations with our licensing partners to ensure compliance, inspection readiness and top tier control

Responsibilities of the group include:

• Writing agreements that demonstrate good alignment across the two partner organizations.
• Aligning work to create maximum efficiencies for both organizations, and minimal risk including that associated with multiple handoffs and duplicate efforts.
• Building strong relationships with groups involved in the deals area so Patient Safety is involved early in order to allow us to properly influence the deal and subsequent contract/agreement.
• Proactively managing both the partner relationship and the agreement insuring optimal execution of all responsibilities.

The strategy in this area will include exploitation of tools to insure compliance, inspection readiness and top tier span of control.

The Patient Safety Licensing Partner Team supports the AstraZeneca externalization strategy by supporting the global due diligence process through arranging access to the due diligence awareness training and maintaining the Patient Safety due diligence best practice document and associated template.

The team strives to be customer focused and has raised the visibility of Patient Safety in the licensing process through relationship building and increased collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The suitable candidate needs to have international experiences and ability to develop and negotiate agreements in a multicultural environment.

The individual will be expected to act independently and collaboratively with licensing partners, global colleagues and stakeholders across all functions in AZ. This will require an awareness of, and adherence to, the PV regulations under which AZ operates.

Qualifications

• Pharmacovigilance, Contracts, Alliance Management and/or Clinical Development experience  is desirable.
• Proven collaborative skills, experienced in global collaborative working.
• Fluent in English language with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to work across cultures and to represent AstraZeneca externally, if required.
• Flexibility with  the ability to multi-task and willingness to take on new opportunities.
• Independently working

 Education

• Life Sciences education/Pharmacy degree.

Success criterias/other desirable qualifications:

• A comprehensive knowledge of Pharmacovigilance regulations, policies, processes, procedures, external partnerships.
