A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK
As a Patent information specialist, you will be working closely with Patent Attorneys, Patent engineers, the Business and R&D departments to perform various activities relating to patent information, not only limited to patent data but also data from other sources. You will have to work the whole value chain from harvesting, cleaning and merging data to visualizing data in reports, making use of the latest tools and techniques available.
As a Patent information specialist, you have knowledge, experience and interest relating in the following areas:
You can translate customer needs into search queries and perform expert patent searches, identifying and analyzing relevant patent information, and then create reports for internal stakeholders.
You proactively provide technical and statistical information (primarily) to internal stakeholders such as R&D, Business and Group Patent.
You continuously Improve the service with regards to IP intelligence, by creating new products and staying on top of latest trends, tools and developments in the area.
You are also expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the global IP function within Electrolux. You will work in a team and have close cooperation with the attorneys, patent engineers and IP assistants to deliver outstanding support.
Responsibilities
• Create, implement and update search methodology related to strategies, monitoring and patent alerts
• Perform all types of searches and services (Novelty, FTO, validity etc.)
• Training colleagues in the art of searching
• Using analytics tool to visualize data
• Scan and stay updated on the latest tools on the market
• Further Improve the patent intelligence offering
Qualifications
• At least a bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position in intellectual property (Patents, Designs, trademarks etc.)
• Preferably holds title (or at least willing to attain) "Qualified Patent Information Professional" (QPIP)
• Able to travel occasionally
• Full proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Knowledgeable in MS Office 365
• Experience from agile methodologies and PowerBI would give you an advantage

• You are familiar with agile methodologies and being adaptable to change
• You are able to lead others and self, demonstrating ambition and drive
• You are humble and curious, comfortable in requesting information
• You have an open mindset and an interest in developing yourself, learning from others and building your network in our multi-cultural, international organisation
• You show a positive attitude and a "can-do mentality"!
