As a R&D Mechanical Engineer at Process Automation, Process Control Platform, you will be part of the mechanical team developing and maintaining digital control solutions for the industry. The mechanical team now needs to expand with a new passionate engineer to be able to deliver within the upcoming development projects. The team is responsible for all the mechanics of the control products for example, housing, contacting and mounting. The role is located in Västerås and you will be reporting to the R&D HW Manager.
Your responsibilities
Design and maintain the mechanics of our control products.
Cooperation with suppliers of mechanical parts and products.
Agile planning and monitoring from a team member perspective.
Design verification of new designs and revised designs.
Secure quality of own and other team members works by design reviews.
Identify areas of weakness in the design processes and make recommendations for improvement.
Your background
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical engineering and 3D design.
Familiarity with injection molding, sheet metal and surface finish processes.
Experience with Creo / pro Engineer is an advantage.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Positive and constructive attitude.
A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines.
