In order to grow and optimize our business, AkzoNobel is on track in its pursuit for operational excellence. This process involves appointing a new role at Site Bohus, the Operations Manager.
This is a strategic position and a key function in our production organization which gives you the opportunity to take an active role in the Site Management team. You will be responsible for the shift leaders and a new delivery organization at the site creating a culture of continuous improvements with LEAN methodologies. You will have 7 direct reports and 80 indirect reports and this means staffing in four plants with production 24/7. You will work strategically with the workforce to solve problems and support growth in a proactive way. In this position you will work closely with the Plant Managers for the four different production units, who are your colleagues in the Site Management Team.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Ensure Site Bohus and plants strategy is cascaded to the operations and delivery organization
• Ensure fulfilling of the Integrated Supply Chain processes
• Development of organization, people and work force planning
• Set and fulfill budget for operations organization
• Ensure the site have personnel trained for Emergency Response
• Support Site initiatives to create a culture of functional and operational excellence
• Pro-actively working with work environment & occupational health
• Bachelor degree in chemistry, engineering or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
• Experience from chemical process industry including an understanding of shift work
• Good knowledge about health, safety, environment and HSE regulations
• Good knowledge in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
