Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program
If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!

During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

At the Group Trucks Operation Plant in Skövde we manufacture heavy duty engines for all Volvo Group applications. Guided by the Continuous Improvement, the engine plant provides a modern, quiet and pleasant working environment. Customer Satisfaction is our priority, and we aim at being a key player in the Volvo Group.

This is us, your new team:
The Engineering business in Skövde is one of the largest in AB Volvo with more than 200 engineers. Our team, manufacturing engineering casting, consists of 16 production engineers and our mission is to support the foundry organization with competence and methods in line with Volvo Production System (Lean manufacturing). Except our department, the engineering organization within casting also consists of a design-, project and process department.
This requires a high level of flexibility and changeability, that makes us work in a strong community across borders to support each other. The role as manufacturing engineer is a great start for a Volvo career!

Main activities and responsibilities:
The main task is to support our Foundry operations that today produce for example engine blocks and cylinder head. We also support the AB Volvo with prototyping of new products. The engineering department supports within areas like focus improvements, workplace organization and industrial and product projects. Right now we are working on huge industrial project that includes the entire foundry to meet the future demands from customers. We are working closely together with the University. Our engineers are ambassadors and participate in fairs, arrange visit for students at our site and coach students in thesis work.

Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• BSc or MSc in engineering science, specialization?
• Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.
• Solid Swedish and English skills
• To be a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in.
• Passion for developing people, operations and product and taking advantage of the full diversity of the team
• A valid work permit

Volvo Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions, as well as all production of Volvo, Renault and Mack trucks. The organization is responsible for spare parts supplies to the Group 's customers as well as for designing, operating and optimizing logistics and supply chain for all brands, production facilities and distribution centers where the Volvo Group operates.
