Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Volvo Cars is having a very positive momentum with several new car programs in the near future. We develop a global supplier base and commodity strategies as well as maintain existing supplier relationships.
Purchasing Powertrain Installation is responsible for direct material to all Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for all of Volvo Cars' manufacturing plants. Powertrain Installation main areas are "Fuel System, Engine Mounts, Exhaust and Air Induction Systems".
Main responsibilities: Capacity - Supply - Production - Quality
* <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Secure bought capacity, handle capacity management <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Act on design changes within the projects. <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Issue purchase orders and make other transactions, updates and reports. <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Establish action plans on part-specific supplier issues in running business <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Strive to attain constant improvements and increase efficiency by e.g. establishing a supplier base in accordance to Volvo Cars overall strategies. <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Represent Volvo Cars and Purchasing towards the supplier base <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Work toward short and long term targets <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Participate in cross functional teams with Engineering, Quality and Cost Estimating <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Handle supplier Risk Management <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Work toward individual targets <li 12pt="" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: normal; font-family:;">Secure agreements are implemented in Purchasing system and follow up on result. <li 12pt="" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:;"> <p 36.0pt="" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 13pt; font-family:;">Frequent supplier contacts regarding day-to-day tasks <li 12pt="" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:;"> <p 36.0pt="" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 13pt; font-family:;">Be a part of Global commodity Council, discuss strategy and projects to align with China and US Purchasing Team.
Required qualifications
* Commercial or Technical education at university or equivalent
* Experience in areas sales/purchase is an advantage
* Experience in leading projects is an advantage
* Interest in technology and in making business
* Good overall computer (MS Office) and administration skills are needed including good knowledge in excel and power point. Advanced Excel skills is an advantage.
* Good knowledge in English, written and spoken
* Experience from automotive industry is an advantage

* Good cooperation and communication skills to create challenge with respect both internally and externally
* Good negotiation skills and ability to challenge with respect and find win-win solutions
