hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Operational Buyer for Cell Materials to join our passionate team in Västerås.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Operational Buyer will be in charge of supplier contacts regarding Purchase orders and delivery confirmations, collaborating closely with Project Purchasing, Process Engineering, Manufacturing (Västerås factories), Cell Design, Automation, Quality, Logistics and Finance.
The overall mission is to place purchase orders and secure order confirmations in order to support on-time deliveries from our material suppliers.
During the start-up phase you will take active part in designing and building the purchase order process, material planning process as well as interlinked processes.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
In tight collaboration with Logistics teams, Purchasing team, Process team and other internal functions, develop a call-off process including suggestions of needed development of our business system.
Place Call-off orders and align internally on material needs and inventory
Representing the company when discussing with suppliers
Work tightly with Northvolt Purchasing Project (Upstream, Projects & Mass Production) and in full consistency with projects objectives.
He/she will report and work with suppliers to improve KPI' such as OTD
You will repost to our Internal Logistics Manager for our site in Västerås

Education/Experience
You hold a master degree in Engineering or Supply chain related field and at least 3 years experience as material planner, production planner, sourcing manager of direct materials from an industrial setting.
Experience in evaluate and improve business system functions to support ERP, Purchaser Orders, Order Confirmations and material inventory
Experience in building relations with international and multi-cultural supplier bases
Understanding of Sales and Operations planning, in order to participate in the development of our SOP Process.
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
