The Position
Avalanche Studios is currently hiring a Level Designer to join a smaller top-tier development team working on our next self-published title, at our Stockholm office.
As a Level Designer, you'll be responsible for creating amazing locations in the game world while also scripting specific experiences the player will have in them.
We're primarily looking for Designers with midlevel to senior experience. Regardless of experience level, your role will be focused on getting your hands dirty and actually building great experiences in the game. In practice, this means:
Building settings from the ground up using buildings, roads, important natural landmarks and vegetation. All while closely working with

Relevant Experience
Experience as a Mission / Level Designer on a AAA title
Experience with open world games
Experience working with narrative devices such as text and dialogue or environmental storytelling
Ability to analyze and understand how existing games are constructed
Strong knowledge of game design fundamentals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to successfully produce results individually and as part of a team
A passion for playing open world action games!
Experience working with game editors such as UnrealEd/Hammer
Scripting experience/knowledge (Python, LUA or equal)
