For continuous growth and development with key customers, Continental Bakeries is now looking for a person to take on the role as Logistic Manager North Europe. This position involves, among other things, to supervise the movements, distribution and storage of supplies and materials within Continental Bakeries North Europe AB.
For Continental Bakeries and their customers, the logistic set-up is extremely important. Deliver On-time and at the right quality and quantity is definitely their first priority. Their customers are production- and logistic oriented and Continental Bakeries aims to take full ownership of the long-term development for every customer, especially within logistics. Fulfilment of orders, availability, sustainability, and quality are key standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Continental Bakeries North Europe AB produce about 130.000 pallets per year. To meet the needs of increasing volume and the need for optimized workflows, a new logistic centre has been implemented through a third party (3PL). One of the main responsibilities in this role will therefore be as speaking partner towards 3PL supplier. It will also be of great importance to ensure, and optimize, logistics flow internally as well as the external logistics flow. 2/3 of the production within Continental Bakeries is exported, which is quite unique for other companies within the same industry. In addition, the part of the business is seasonal, which requires a proactive approach with a focus on strategic analysis that ensures planning and production meet schedules. As the Logistic Manager North Europe, you will manage a team of 5 people within Warehouse, Planning and Outbound Deliveries.
As Logistic Manager North Europe, you're reporting to Managing Director and will be a part of the Sales and Marketing management team.
This is a new role within the organisation, which means that the right candidate will have the opportunity to influence the development of the role over time. As for today you will be the dedicated person on site, who takes the responsibility and coordinates the total of the following areas:
Outbound deliveries
• Customer Orders
• Deliveries to customer
• Responsible for all transports both internal and external
• Synchronize the Forecast/IBP for CB North Europe total
• Transports handling and negotiations
Customer coordination within logistics
• Speaking partner to customers
• Drive development projects within the logistic (i.e. optimizing of pallets/cartons/transports)
Warehouse management
• Follow up of KPI with 3 PL partner
• Follow up agreement. Negotiations.
• Follow up on KPI Internally
• Inventory management
• Days inventory outstanding
• Speaking partner to 3PL partner
Follow up of planning and scheduling in the Swedish factories
• Short- and long-term planning
• Optimize planning with outbound deliveries

WHO YOU ARE:
We believe you have a relevant educational background with a solid experience of working in a similar role. Experience from working in the food industry is of great advantage for this position as you possess the knowledge regarding requirements of hygiene and traceability relevant for the industry. In addition, you have a good understanding for the complete logistical flow and understand how to drive and optimize processes. Since Continental Bakeries operates on both national and international market, it requires an ability to combine these two conditions in the daily context.
You act from a customer-oriented perspective and know how to understand and adapt the solutions according to customer requirements.
Since the daily communication takes place in both English and Swedish, it requires good knowledge of both languages, written and spoken.
For this position, experience and knowledge of international export is highly valued.
