We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team at the Stockholm Head Office. This is an opportunity for someone with a genuine interest of working with regulatory and compliance in the world of retail and fashion. You will be expected to offer advice on a wide range of legal matters mainly in the areas of consumer law, marketing, sales & pricing, e-commerce. Experience in consumer safety/protection, competitions, discrimination/accessibility, terms & conditions, competition law, public affairs and answering questions/requirements from authorities/organizations and customers is meriting. You will be expected to provide support on how to best manage business opportunities and risks in a global perspective. As a Legal Counsel in the Regulatory & Compliance Team, you will belong to a team within the Group Legal function, a core part of the H&M Group. The team which currently consists of five people, provides legal support to the H&M Group. You will support and participate internally and externally regarding H&M Group's global business.
Job Description
As Legal Counsel with the Regulatory and Compliance team, you will:
Provide expertise and support for the legal areas across H&M Group functions, brands, regions and markets, including risk identification and mitigation
Provide advice and supporting documentation
Take an active part in decision-making related to legal and commercial matters, to ensure compliance and the best business result possible
Contribute to internal knowledge development and knowledge transfer within the H&M Group, including legal processes, creating templates and best practice
Collaborate with all other teams at H&M Group Legal, in order to provide comprehensive legal support to the H&M Group.
Support and answer the questions/requirements of authorities/organizations/customers to provide the best relationship and customer offer.

Qualifications
In addition to matching the personal profile, we seek the following qualifications:
A university law degree
At least 3 years' relevant work experience from a company or law firm, preferably in an international setting, with a focus on EU perspective, in relevant areas
The ability to evaluate business opportunities and risks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (professional English required)

This is a temporary position due to parental leave for 9-15 month with start date as soon as possible.
