The Institute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as individual academic courses within the first and second cycle of higher education. Basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead both to a professional degree and a bachelor's degree. The training of midwives and specialist nurses with different orientations lead to a professional registration in combination with a master's degree. All professional programmes lead to professional registration. Moreover, courses are offered at an advanced level, which give the opportunity to continue studying for a master's degree in one of the institute's main topics; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The institute offers a postgraduate programme leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: The main area, Reproductive and Perinatal Health, includes sexual and reproductive health from a life cycle perspective. It focuses on the normal physiological process and its deviations before and during pregnancy, childbirth, the neonatal period, early parenthood and family planning. JOB ASSIGNMENTS:Duties include teaching, assignment as a course coordinator, supervision and examination at an undergraduate level in all of the institute's courses but mainly within the programme in reproductive and perinatal health. The assignment as a course coordinator comprises the development and coordination of learning objectives, learning activities, assessment forms and assessment criteria in relation to the content, purpose and current pedagogical research and to ensure the quality of the programme using validated evaluation forms. The assignment also expects the applicant to be actively working towards achieving the institute' s objectives and operational plan and to participate in planned joint meetings and activities. The candidate is expected to teach in Swedish.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are provided in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the University of Gothenburg' s employment procedure. For the position as lecturer the applicant must have completed university education at the least advanced level in a relevant subject for the position and demonstrated pedagogical skills. Qualification as a registered midwife. ASSESSMENT: The first assessment criterion is pedagogical skills. In addition, emphasis will be given to the quality and breadth of teaching qualifications and teaching experience at an advanced level from the nursing programme. Shown ability to work as part of a team, flexibility and administrative skills will be considered. The candidate is expected to teach in Swedish.
