Everything we do is about Making Better HappenTM.
AAK specializes in plant-based oils that are the value-adding ingredients in many of the products people love to consume. We make these products better tasting, healthier, and more sustainable. We enhance their sensory experience - by giving the silkier mouthfeel in premium chocolate, the juicier texture in a plant-based burger, and the puffier appearance in a lower-fat pastry. We can also optimize their production by substituting existing ingredients with plant-based equivalents that give better efficiency. AAK's value-adding solutions enable our customers to be successful in a better way.
At the heart of AAK's offer is Customer Co-Development, combining our desire to understand what better means for each customer, with the unique flexibility of our production assets, and a deep knowledge of many products and industries, including Chocolate & Confectionery, Bakery, Dairy, Plant-based Foods, Special Nutrition, Foodservice and Personal Care. Our 4,000 employees support our close collaboration with customers through 25 regional sales offices, 15 dedicated Customer Innovation Centers, and with the support of more than 20 production facilities.
Listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and with our headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, AAK has been Making Better HappenTM for more than 150 years.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding HR team. Based on one of our manufacturing sites in Europe the successful candidate will be part of new team responsible for the development and maintenance of the infrastructure that enables the progression of our key employees.
As this role is new it has the potential to evolve after key projects are realised. We are looking for candidates with solid experience in the learning and development function, able to identify training needs, choose the right training solutions, and after evaluation recommend where improvements can be made.
This is an operationally focused role and works predominately with key stakeholders in manufacturing, health & safety, quality, and engineering. This means you will spend time in operational areas getting to know the people, the plant, and the processes. Knowledge and experience of food manufacturing is beneficial for this reason.

Manage the training plan through to completion, coordinating learners, training providers, e-learning platforms, and certification management. Monitoring progress through KPI reporting and regular meetings with key stakeholders.

Create and supervise the creation of new learning content for the adult learning environment. Optimizing the principles of instructional design for physical, virtual, or electronic delivery.
Deliver in-house programs with knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm achieving expected learning outcomes.
Actively participate in audits, both internal and external, ensuring training conformance to customer codes of practize, industry standards and local legislation.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in learning and development preferably within food manufacturing. You will enjoy being part of a European team, collaborating with peers, sharing knowledge and expertise, whilst also being independent and focused on local priorities. You will also enjoy the challenge of competency assessment, building learning solutions that close critical gaps in knowledge, skills and behaviours.
You will have a keen interest in either leadership development, learning technologies or competency frameworks as there will be an opportunity to expand your contribution to the organisation in one of these fields.
To apply you will have a degree in human resources, learning and development or other related field, or extensive experience in learning and development.
