High level purpose of function.
The Project Manager is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for logistics projects, considering factors such as transportation, warehousing, materials handling, and technology. This role involves coordinating efforts with all project managers, business controls and profitability teams.
Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities.
• Develop comprehensive budgets specific to logistics projects, including all relevant cost components.
• Implement processes to control and monitor costs associated with logistics projects.
• Identify and address cost overruns promptly to ensure financial targets are met.
• Work on cost optimization strategies within the supply chain, considering transportation routes, inventory management, and warehouse efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Generate regular financial reports for logistics projects, communicating cost status, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the broader project management team to ensure alignment of logistics project costs with the overall project objectives.
• Utilizes extensive expertise in supply chain and project management to effectively address and resolve a wide range of problems.
• Works with wider supply chain organization and Northvolt PMO to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

• Authorized to decide on investments according to role and policy.
Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Qualifications and experience
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics or Finance or Supply Chain related fields
• 7-12 years of experience in relevant field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in MS Project or project management tools
