About Important Looking Pirates
Important Looking Pirates (ILP) is a multiple VES and Emmy award winning studio and have created animation and visual effects for some of the greatest storytellers. About the position as IT Support Engineer
In the position as IT Support Engineer you will manage a wide variety of tasks. You will be providing all types of IT related support to employees on local site and remotely. You will also be involved in on and off boarding of employees and set up and configurate thin-clients and workstations. Furthermore, you will work proactively with troubleshooting workstations and track recurring issues so that they can be eliminated for good and that the workstation is deployable in the cloud in a disaster recovery scenario. Additionally, you will work closely with the System Admin team solving complex client issues and manage systems with Foreman, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform and Kickstarter.
Except from your main responsibilities there will be multiple exciting projects to take lead on.
Your main responsibilities: Provide all sorts of IT related support to employees both on-site and remotely.
Work proactively with troubleshooting of workstations and track recurring issues.
Work closely with the System Admin team solving complex client issues.
Take lead on exciting projects to continuously improve the IT environment.
About you
To be successful in the position as IT Support Engineer we believe that you have a strong IT support background with a Linux focus. You have a good understanding for client management.
As a person you take great ownership and responsibility over your work, are proactive and driven. You are a team player by heart and strive to ensure the best for the whole group and have an unpretentious attitude towards work and colleagues. Last but not least, you have a great interest in IT and have a high appreciation for being part of a fast-moving context where you get a great opportunity to influence and develop within your function.
Important for the position: Strong IT support background with a Linux focus.
Good understanding client management.
Fluent in English.
