hela Sverige Global Infrastructure Production Storage teams are looking for a Storage technical that carries out installations, technical support and maintenance according to instructions given for infrastructure and applications. The Production Technician proactively works with operational measurement and tuning and resolves the majority of escalated incidents mainly for the Linux and Windows platforms
The role ensures quality, efficiency and security in production and the positions give opportunity to work in global networks together with people around the world.
Job description:
As a part of the global midrange team, primarily handle user related cases, user data transfer, active directory changes and group disc owner changes.
The Production Technician is mainly working in the Deploy and Operate processes, both run-time and one-time.
You will work in the Storage area to:
• Work according to routines in the Midrange Storage area for quality, efficiency and security
• Under immediate supervision carry out day to day work in accordance with standardised routines
• Report performance, efficiency and capacity measurements to IM, SRM and Application functions
• Resolve the majority of escalated cases and incidents
• Contribute to input to the Service Runtime Management function with focus on optimizing services
• Authorised to suggest alternative solutions and point out deficiencies related to quality and security requirements
• Awareness and sense of urgency regarding handling of customer backup, data and storage
• Responsible for the operation quality and security on given Infrastructure in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and/or specific regulations
• Provide guidance to technicians within the area of responsibility
• Contribute to problem localisation and resolution regarding infrastructure
• When required, contribute with knowledge within projects, reviews etc
• Contribute to input to Service Monitoring and Service Desk in all aspects regarding Event Management and Incident Management
• Interact with technicians from Infrastructure Management and the Application Maintenance organisation
• Contribute with input to Infrastructure Management and the Application Maintenance organisation in order to improve the efficiency of the production of applications
Qualifications:
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You have a proactive mindset sense of responsibility and structured approach and you are a good listener that likes to share knowledge and in continuous improvement. Since our corporate language is English, you must be able to speak and write in English fluidly.
For this position you need to have at least 3-5 years of experience from other IT companies working with Storage operations in large/complex environments. You also need to have experience of Storage operations from Windows, Unix and/or Linux environment. You are highly skilled in Netapp Ontap OS and Storage management Tools and have good knowledge in Active Directory. You should also have excellent skills in maintaining and producing documents.
