hela Sverige Global Infrastructure Production Storage teams are looking for a Storage technical that carries out installations, technical support and maintenance according to instructions given for infrastructure and applications. The Production Technician proactively works with operational measurement and tuning and resolves the majority of escalated incidents mainly for the Client environment and also for Linux and Windows platforms
The role ensures quality, efficiency and security in production and the positions give opportunity to work in global networks together with people around the world.
Job description:
As a part of the global midrange team, he/she secures the runtime operations, pro-active and re-active, and also provisions new storage and backup orders, and deploys file management structures for the client storage.
You will work in the Storage area to:
• Work according to routines in the Midrange Storage area for quality, efficiency and security
• Under immediate supervision carry out day to day work in accordance with standardised routines
• Report performance, efficiency and capacity measurements to drive improvement activities
• Resolve the majority of escalated cases and incidents
• Authorised to suggest alternative solutions and point out deficiencies related to quality and security requirements
• Responsible, awareness and sense of urgency for the operation quality and security on given Infrastructure in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and/or specific regulations
• Share and spread experience and knowledge amongst the entire team
• Contribute to problem localisation and resolution regarding infrastructure
• When required, contribute with knowledge within projects, reviews, analysis etc
Interact and contribute with technicians from Infrastructure Management, Service Monitoring and Service Desk to improve the efficiency and quality in all aspects regarding Event & Incident Management
Qualifications:
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability to establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You have a proactive mindset, a sense of responsibility and structured approach, and you are a good listener that likes to share knowledge and strives for continuous improvement. Part of the deliveries and runtime are mandatory to be handled in Swedish, but since our corporate language is English, you must also be able to speak and write in Swedish and English fluidly.
For this position it is strongly desired to have a couple of years of experience in storage within a large/complex environment, preferably in working with Netapp?s products line.
Additional skills and understanding on surrounding techniques and platforms like Windows, Unix/Linux and Active Directory are also highly recommended.
Nevertheless, less technical experience, which can be trained on the job, can certainly be compensated by a good open mind-set and social competence to start with.
