To succeed in this role, you have at least 5 years' experience of working as an Interior Design Specialist/Leader. You are well familiar with home furnishing, retail design solution development and have preferable experience from working with the IKEA range presentation. You possess strong and senior interior design skills and would proudly showcase your portfolio of previous work. Furthermore, you are strong in project management and can initiate, plan, execute, control and close cross-functional projects. You have proven training in programs such as AutoCAD 3d, REVIT and Sketchup, and a strong analytical mindset. You are fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
You do also have knowledge about:
• Trends that influence home furnishing, retail design and communication.
• Creative leading skills
• Methods for presenting the range, display techniques and store layout.
• The IKEA visual and verbal identity in order to facilitate the creation of commercial environment with a distinct brand impression
YOUR RESPONSABILITITES
The interior design team delivers outstanding home furnishing solutions on a yearly basis to stimulate interest in life at home. This team is a part of the Retail Solutions team which also includes shop and graphic design. As an Interior Design Specialist, your main task is to design outstanding home furnishing (store) solutions to stimulate the life at home interest for our visitors and potential customers. Together with colleagues in our 30 markets, you will strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation and home furnishing solutions such as room settings, homes, vignettes and sales support areas. In addition, you will also be involved in different projects together with the markets and secure local market needs. Finally, collaborating across different functions within INGKA Group and different IKEA businesses units will be essential to secure the business growth plan and ensure that all departments that touches the customers journey work in unison identifying customers' needs and preferences.
This is a permanent role, located in Malmö at our office in Hyllie, "Hubhult". You will report to the Interior Design Manager, Enrique Mozos.
