About the position:
We are looking for an Interaction Designer that wants to join our team and take part in our work with UI design for upcoming mobile phone releases and make UIQ products an ultimate user experience.
You will work in a cross-functional team together with Interaction Designers, Software Engineers and Test Engineers, and also together with Product- and Project managers.
You will be responsible for UI design decisions during feature development in the System application area, following the UIQ UI process and design guidelines.
Since the feature development often takes place at external development sites you will come in contact with different work cultures. Travelling may be necessary.
Your tasks will include taking part in requirements analysis, design and specification of the user interface, always focusing on the usability and interaction design aspects of the UIQ product.
Education:
A University degree in Interaction design, HCI, MMI, GUI design, Industrial design, Computer Science or similar.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Excellent skills in interaction design/GUI design and usability
• Extensive understanding of design documentation production
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Extensive knowledge in tools commonly used for design and visualizations (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio)
• Experience of working with interaction/GUI design for small screen devices is highly desirable
