We are now strengthening our installation quality team to meet the increasing demand for our services.
THE POSITION
The inspectors will be based at the headquarters of Roxtec Services AB in Karlskrona, Sweden, but extensive traveling is required. Your job is to execute work on various project locations all over the world. Work on oil rigs and platforms is part of the job and can be performed in periods of up to two weeks offshore.
As Inspector on an individual project, you are responsible on site primarily for conducting inspections. You may also be supporting and supervising rented manpower personnel. Through close communication with your lead inspector and sometimes customer representatives, you have to be able to take rapid and rational decisions as they occur during project operations. The inspector and the team have to be able to act as advisors for the customer as well as for the classification societies' site personnel to support in technical issues that can occur during an inspection or supervising project.
The roll also includes documentation work related to the project, such as reports, inspection protocols and drawings.
In addition to inspection tasks there will be internal training sessions and onsite installation training in your work schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
In order to be successful and meet the requirements, it is important that:
• You are very experienced with Roxtec products, tests and certificates, and have a broad experience of competitive sealing solutions.
• You are flexible and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
• You are physically fit, as the job can be quite demanding.
• You are able to travel extensively.
• You are disciplined and can work with endurance to deliver solutions in an international working environment.
• You are focusing on results and solutions, can take rapid decisions, and are ready to take responsibility and ownership of your tasks.
• You have excellent skills in written and spoken English.
• You are familiar with computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, since one part of the job is to create reports and documentation of performed tasks.
• You are a committed person working to find the best possible solution. You are eager to build long-term relations and take own initiatives. You are self-motivated and easy to work with, and you know how to balance quality and speed.
