We offer an exciting opportunity for you to participate in the development of Volvo Penta in some of the most enticing markets in the world.
As Segment Manager you will be responsible for developing the business for Industrial Power Systems through our own Market Units and Area Sales Managers. You will be managing a team of business development managers and sales application engineers based in Sweden and internationally. Marketing, Key Account Management and Pricing/Profitability will also be your responsibilities. You will also be the industrial business segments representative towards related functions within corporate Volvo Penta.

Main responsibilities
• Lead and develop people in the Industrial Segment Group
• Set targets, inspire and motivate colleagues throughout the sales organisation
• Develop and implement the Industrial segment strategy
• Prioritize activities and secure the segments strategic roadmaps
• Prospect new high potential or strategically important customers
• Business follow up and report to team and management
• Support the sales organisation with competitor and market intelligence
• Coordinate larger sales projects and personal engagement in key markets and customers
• Coordinate and support sales engineering tasks
• Participate in the global price work and implement within our region
• Be our representative in the segment and product planning process
• Participate in the development of advertising and sales promotion materials

Qualifications
• Strategic mind and skill set combined with business acumen
• Proven leadership experience, preferably in an international environment
• Experience of the off-road industry, mobile and or stationary (>3 years)
• Technical knowledge and interest in diesel engines and industrial applications
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively with external stakeholders
• Genuine interest in working with and coach people from different cultures
• Fully proficient in English, verbal and writing
• Mandarin, French or Arabic are considered as additional qualifications
• Strong general computer skills and excellent skills in Microsoft Office
• University degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
• Frequent traveller with boots on the ground attitude
