Publiceringsdatum2019-06-07ArbetsuppgifterIHGR has around 370 students and 35 members of staff. Our school is located in central Gothenburg, Molinsgatan 6. We offer four programs: IB Diploma Programme, Social Science Programme, Natural Science Programme and Social Science Programme with courses in advanced English (SPETS). We have an international learning environment which challenges our students to grow together with English as their language of education together with teachers and classmates from different cultural backgrounds. Many of our ambitious and motivated students plan to continue to university and higher education in English speaking countries. For the school start of 2019 we have many students who have applied; our IB Diploma Programme and SPETS programme have a selection process which includes an entrance exam.
Work description
IHGR is looking to fill the vacancy of IB Diploma Programme coordinator/teacher. The position would require the successful applicant to further develop the schools IB Diploma Programme, evaluate training needs for faculty, both immediate and long term, maintain contact with the IB organisation, work with the school goals, maintain clear communication with parents and students, and represent the programme at leadership meetings. The teaching position will be dependent on your subject speciality.
KvalifikationerThe candidate should have experience of the role as an IB Diploma Programme coordinator and experience of teaching in the IB DP curriculum. It is expected that the candidate has a background as a teacher and its a merit if you have experience of teaching in other international schools before.
IHGR would expect that the successful candidate takes responsibility for their work to achieve positive results. The candidate should be good at structure, planning and prioritizing work. The candidate should be a good communicator and ready to take on a significant role as a part of the leadership team of IHGR.
