About the position
As the HR Recruitment, Learning & Development Unit Manager you will lead the team of Recruiters, Development advisors, and Learning officer(s) to ensure delivery on the main objectives and activities of the HR department, which is recruit, select, match and retain well-suited staff to meet the needs to MSF field operations and MSF Sweden office.
You will be an active member of the HR Department Coordination Team and will work closely with the HR Director on strategy and work cross-departmentally in MSF Sweden to ensure correct implementation of processes and projects. In addition (to unit and shared-departmental management responsibilities in the HR department) you will have the possibility to manage one specific pool of fieldworkers.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for qualitative delivery of recruitment and placement of fieldworkers from Sweden and Finland and MSF Sweden office workers through ensuring consistency of practices while sustaining quality and quantity of placements in order to continue strong support for MSF operations and MSF Sweden office.
• Ensure that staff within the unit has the right prerequisites to achieve results by having a long-term sustainable, structured human resource planning, development and implementation
• Be overall responsible for unit budget and follow-up, ensure participation and anchoring of unit activities
• Overall responsible for learning initiatives, solutions and projects (organized by MSF-Sweden), targeted for fieldworkers and office staff.
• Be an active member in the HR Coordination team and contribute to the overall HR strategy. Cooperate with other HQ unit managers and the HR Director on overarching matters and issues.

As a person, you are communicative and has good interpersonal skills. Establishing work relationships, projecting confidence and building trust comes easy to you. You are organised and have an eye for improving/streamlining processes.
In addition, you have:
• A strong commitment to MSF principles and humanitarian values
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, of which at least 2 years in the field (preferably with MSF)
• Academic degree within relevant field (significant working experience will compensate)
• Minimum 2 years of management and leadership experience and is used to change management
• Proven experience of working with long term strategies, planning and budget follow-up
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge and skills in Office 365
Valuable:
• Previous MSF experience
• Swedish, French and/or Finnish language skills
• Human Resources Management Degree
• Previous experience of performing trainings
Conditions of employment:
• Employment type: Permanent position with six (6) months probation
• Work hours: 37,5 hours work week (100%)
• Salary: 37 375 SEK/month
• Benefits: Pension, health insurance, life insurance, travel insurance, insurance for work related injuries, wellness contribution (2 000 SEK/year)
• Vacation: 5 weeks (25 days/year)
• Location: MSF Sweden Office in Stockholm (with occasional travels)
