The Administrative Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for an HR Business Partner
Description of the HR division
ESS HR division consists of 12 colleagues that enjoys working together in a collaborative way, supporting and empowering each other in order to be able to fulfil the best possible service to the organization. Since one of our HR Business Partners will take on a new role internally at ESS we are now looking for her successor, could it, be you?
The atmosphere in the HR Division is friendly, the work load is often high and the tasks are of great variation and complexity. Have in mind that ESS is a green field site, meaning that everything has to be invented, designed and put in place. In order to thrive in our environment, we believe you have a problem solving and flexible mindset and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
Description of main responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be one of two HR Business Partners at ESS, whose finest task is to enable the organisation's sustainable performance. You will have a seat in functional management teams of the divisions you support and through close sparring with Line Managers provide professional solutions on all HR issues.
Moreover, you are result-oriented and not afraid of taking a stand. You thrive in a busy environment with a lot of challenge and varying tasks. You have a keen interest for organisation, business and people, and you are able to build strong and trusted relations with many stakeholders.
You are expected to quickly build a solid understanding of the business and translate your insights into organisational solutions and development activities. You will be responsible for implementing and anchoring the key HR processes throughout the organization.
Your role in HR Key Processes
• Support managers in organisational development, staffing forecast and planning.
• Support managers in leadership development activities and training.
• Support managers in psychosocial work environment related work & projects.
• Support managers in the salary review process and compensation changes.
• Support managers in the P&D process.
Overall, you will to a large extent shape your own job and significantly influence the HR function with your initiative and drive.
Qualifications
• You hold a university degree within business, psychology, social science, HRM or an equivalent discipline, and you have solid experience developing organisations, preferably in an international context.
• Most likely you have been employed approximately 5 - 10 years as an HR Partner
• Knowledge about Danish labor law and experience from working in Denmark is a merit.
• You are driven, self-motivated, organized, solution oriented with a positive attitude and an great sense of humor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish.

Duration & Location
The position is a permanent position with a 6 months probationary period
Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden, with occasional travel to Copenhagen.
Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
