The aim of Human Resources at Volvo Car Corporation is to provide the company with comprehensive human resources support in order to attract, recruit, develop and retain employees. Human Resources drive the development and implementation of the People Strategy, programs and processes to support the long-term achievement of the overall VCC business plan. HR Operations is an area in central HR that is responsible for providing world-class service in the areas of payroll, administration, customer support, communication, IT applications and statistics.
HR Applications owns the HR Application Portfolio. This includes activities to manage and act as system experts in IT related projects and pre-studies, maintenance of existing systems, and ownership HR statistics and reports
You would in this position report directly to the Manager HR IT applications and mainly work with IT related projects.

Job Description:
The HR Business Project Manager is responsible for:
• Represent the Application Owner and the Business (function/process) that is the primary user of the application in contacts with VCC (HR and IT).
• Overall (globally) responsible for:
• monitoring the review of data,
• design of the update data processes
• Information structure regarding the system and how the systems relates to each other
• Responsible for design of proper competence/educational processes to secure end-users competences. This could be through educating other key users.
• Lead and coordinate the mapping and implementation of new processes into the system.
• Support and if needed steer the harmonization within the HR community regarding handling HR data from a system perspective.
• Identify areas of improvements. Coordinate, evaluate and prioritize changes (change requests).
• Request enhancements and development of the system from Volvo Cars IT and participate in carrying them through.
• Have an active role in projects regarding the system (e.g. Business Lead, Project Manager, Business analyst) and/or participate in projects connected to the system.
• Responsible for describing/doing functional requirement specifications when importing data from other systems.
• Responsible for interface issues to/from the system.
• Support the business in issues regarding data in the system, which need extended access.
• Solve system problems and when needed, support VCIT and/or external. suppliers in the problem solution process.
• Update system setup values
As a member of the HR Applications team you will also:
• Actively participate in the development of HR Applications
• Drive for excellent collaboration with other key departments to ensure alignment and support for key activities
• If required, act as "back-up" for other team members

Formal/profile qualifications:
• University degree in relevant fields or equivalent expertise
• Functional and technical system understanding
• Ability to translate business needs into IT functional requirements
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
Personal qualities:
• Eager and willing to learn new things and take on new challenges and tasks
• Self-motivated and good social skills
• Analytical and logical ability
• Excellent ability to co-operate
• Ability of conceptual thinking
• Pro-active and drive for result
