The Role
You will be joining our Software Engineering team in Solna. Your main role will be enabling on time and high-quality system / software deliveries. You will report to the Staff Engineer
The HMI software expert engineer has the following responsibilities:
• That his/her design is in accordance with general applicable workmanship.
• That his/her design is in accordance with department guidelines regarding technology choice, reuse, and platforms.
• The fulfilment of defined and assigned targets in the development model.
• Information to the project manager if the project is delayed according to the time schedule.
• Information to the project manager if the design is not according to specification.
• The sharing of expert competence knows how with other projects.
• The identification of risks in the project, and report risks to the project manager
Tasks/Duties
• Work in accordance to SPLP/SPDP, relevant for the current task at hand
• Actively participate in process improvement activities.
• Actively participate in group meetings
• Act according to Stoneridge core values

Educational backgrown
Bachelor or master's in engineering or equivalent industry experience
Required Experiences and Skills
• SW development for Embedded Linux Systems
• SW development for QNX OS
• C++ programming skills
• Experience with vector graphics (f ex Cairo)
• HMI development/implementation (f ex Qt)
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to new work situations
• Ability to coach and mentor junior SW engineers in his expertise domain
• The ability, but not limited to, to work autonomously with little or no supervision and as part of a larger design team
• Ability to travel
• English

• Experience from Automotive Industry/ASPICE
• Version control using version control system (Git..)
• Open-Source development (FOSS)
• Vehicle communication CAN, LIN, TCP/IP
