We are now looking for a new colleague is the role as High Performance Computing (HPC) Service Owner.
The infrastructure team in ABB Sweden is providing a HPC service for scientific calculations used by Research and R&D centers globally in ABB. We are also supporting the business with tools to use licenses for mathematics and scientific applications in an efficient way. There is today a team of three people working with the platform, surrounding services and support.
As a Service Owner, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the HPC service and scientific license service. This includes ensuring that the service meets the needs of the business and its users and is delivered in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Your responsibilities
Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure that the service is integrated with other systems and processes within the organization.
Managing the budget for the service and ensuring that it is delivered within the agreed financial constraints.
Continuously monitoring and improving the service to ensure that it meets the changing needs of the business and its users.
Ensuring that the service is compliant with relevant regulations and standards including security.
Leading service improvement initiatives and managing the implementation of changes to the service.
Together with team support business users and collect business requirements.
Negotiations with vendors, both licenses and hardware.
Your background
Bachelor/master's degree in related field with 3+ years of experience IS solutions/service delivery or equivalent experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
You have experience of working in geographically dispersed and diverse teams.
Depending on your background and ambitions, you can choose to develop in either a more technical role or a more business role together with the team.
