Scania's business environment is currently undergoing significant changes in terms of technology and business models. To meet this, we need to refine not only our mission but also how we work. The Sales and Marketing Strategy and Way office has a central role in this transformation and you now have the possibility to be an important part of that journey!



Your Task

The function has three distinct, but interrelated responsibilities. To lead the Sales and Marketing Way journey for the whole organisation, to lead the Strategy Development process and to lead the Sales and Marketing parts of the Scania Transformation.

All three are tied to how we now need to change. Our Strategy will set the overall direction and mission, the Transformation will define new governance and operational models, while the Sales and Marketing Way will guide us in how to think and behave.

• The Strategy Development is handled by a team of two persons. The team is running a tight dialogue with the S&M management team as well as with a Strategy Network with representation from all S&M functions. They also manage the strong interdependence to the Scania strategy as well as the Commercial Operations strategy.
• The Transformation is handled by a Transformation Leader who is supporting the build-up of new governance processes as well as other changes tied to competence need and new processes. The Transformation Leader is tightly connected to the team around the Industrial Operations- and Scania Transformation.
• The Sales and Marketing Way journey is handled by the Head of the team. The journey consists of many elements, but mainly training, challenging and coaching of the S&M management team, as well as other managers within the organisation. The journey is well under way, but needs constant nurturing.

Other cross-functional special assignments also land with the team, divided among the members depending of the nature of the tasks.



Your Profile

You will be a member of the Sales and Markting management team and will be assigned tasks on a strategic level. Still, some tasks are very hands-on, so you must not have lost the ability to fold up your sleeves and dig in.

A documented experience from living the Scania Way is preferable. You will lead the journey for the complete organisation, so you need to be our competence carrier on this subject. As a person, you should gain energy from driving change. You and the team will need to challenge the current state with high ambitions, setting the path to reach our vision - in what we do, achieve and how we do it. Curiosity is also a good trait.

You have an academic degree and possibly experience from the commercial field. Even if the team is small, previous leadership experience is a prerequisite. Fluent English is required.
