Q-Med in Uppsala is the Center of Excellence in Galderma Aesthetic & Corrective business.
Since our Head of PR & Communications is promoted to a role at our global headquarters in Switzerland, we are looking for a replacement to work with internal and external communications for our aesthetic & corrective business (excluding marketing & product promotion). The position is based in Uppsala and you will report to the Head of Legal A&C with a dotted line to the Managing Director.
About the job
We are looking for an experienced communicator to lead and implement the communication strategies in connection with Galderma corporate in Switzerland and all global functions of the Aesthetic & Corrective unit in Uppsala.
Your role consists in defining and implementing the communications plan for internal and external activities (including media relations). You are fully autonomous in project leading the production of print, digital, videos etc.
External communications for the A&C unit:
• Define and implement strategies to position our company in the aesthetics and corrective field
• Manage media contacts (press communication and events)
• Act as a spoke person for A&C related matters
• Organize media trainings and support as per needs
• Manage crisis communications
Internal communications for the Uppsala site (400 employees):
• Define and implement strategies to foster employee engagement
• Develop and lead employee events and information meetings
• Responsible for developing and updating the intranet site for Uppsala employees
• Develop & maintain communication with other Galderma’s sites
• Participate in the maintenance of the compliance supportive documentation
Other:
• Manage 2 direct reports working with graphic design and lead them in terms of performance and development.
About you
• You have a University degree within communications and media or you are a journalist or other equivalent education within communications
• You have minimum 5 years successful proven experience in the field.
• You bring relevant experience from the industry, preferably from the Medical Device area. You know how to work in an international environment and have experience of complex organisations.
• You have strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to lead projects within tight time frames and to prioritise.
• You are an experienced leader (3 to 5 years management experience) with demonstrated leadership abilities
• You have strong communication skills and are able to influence others across cultures and functions. Fluency in English and Swedish both verbal and written is a must. It is an advantage if you have knowledge in French.
• You are flexible, used to taking responsibility and enjoy teamwork.
• You are passionate about communications and media and enjoy the field of aesthetics.
