Scania Credit AB is a Financial Service entity, providing financial and insurance solutions to customers, dealers and distributors in 2 main regions: Middle East and West Africa. In addition to those Scania Credit AB is running Distributor Financing and Factoring solution to non-captive distributors in different parts of the world.

The Head Office and Market Support centre is based in Södertälje, supporting the local markets with governance, management, strategical development, credit risk function, contract administration and systems. Currently we are in total 50 employees, whereof 30 in Södertälje, managing a financed portfolio of about 260 MEUR of assets.

Job description

The Finance department handles all financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting to local statutory bodies and to Scania Head Office in Sweden, financial- and business control.

We are now looking for a Head of Accounting and Reporting to strengthen up our team and lead the daily operations within the finance department. You will report to the Finance Manager of Scania Credit AB and the role will give you a great opportunity to work with the full range of accounting and controlling related functions for an independent legal entity within the Scania Group. You will not have any direct reports in this role but with the right attitude and mindset this can be a springboard to taking on a Finance Manager position or similar in the future.

The main responsibilities are:

In this role you will be working hands-on but also act as a team leader with the responsibility for all processes related to accounting and financial controlling. We expect you to continuously develop the processes within the department and ensure that the legal entity is followed up in line with both internal and external requirements.

You will also play an important role in cross functional project groups within Scania Credit to support the business opportunities appearing in current and new markets.

Areas that will fall under your responsibility is for example:

• Monthly/Quarterly/Year-end Group reporting closing process
• Monitoring and follow up of day to day accounting, incoming payments, reinvoicing of cost and reconciliations
• Taxes, VAT, WHT
• Transfer Pricing
• Projection process and reporting
• Annual report and tax declaration
• Internal and external audit procedures
• Driving process improvements
• Ad-hoc requirements

Your profile

We are looking for an open minded, analytical and structured person, who takes own initiatives, is solution-oriented and a team player. As a person you need to be independent, driven, open to change and eager to learn.

We believe you have experience from accounting and financial controlling in a changing environment. You have a fundamental understanding of the end to end process from accounting transactions to the closing process and preferably you also have experience from a Financial Services company. In this role you will work and report to different stakeholders and in several different systems by using different data sources so in order to succeed you must be skilled at structuring and working with data in excel.

This also means that with a "can-do" attitude and professional approach this role will offer you great opportunities to grow as a finance professional.

Your skills and formal qualifications should include:

• A university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• Experience from accounting and/or financial controlling, based on Swedish regulation and IFRS
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Professional fluency in English

It would be beneficial if you have

• Experience from Microsoft Dynamics 365, HFM, Coreview and Power BI.
