We also have a fast growing consulting company with approximately 60 employees and a broad experience in both product and production development. Primarily, MVV:s customers are in the areas of automotive, oil/gas and robotics/automation.

Position description:

The section Electrical Performance is organized under the department Electrical System Design in unit Vehicle Software & Electronics. The attribute area Electrical Performance is responsible for establishing requirements and verification methods, to ensure that the products meet customer requirements in terms of electrical reliability, electrical safety and balanced electrical energy for the complete electrical system in the car. The scope for Electrical Performance covers requirements on complete vehicle level, through function and system level to component level. We are 20 employees within the group, including experienced attribute leaders as well as experts within electronics hardware.

As an Attribute Leader - Electrical Performance you will develop and secure electrical performance requirements, with focus on electrical hardware design, throughout the projects. The Electrical Performance group are the electrical hardware design competence centre team, considered as the automotive electrical hardware expert team.

You will do a lot of different things as an attribute leader - but to name a few for you to get a chance to picture yourself working for us;

• Develop requirements based on annual activities such as; Lessons learned, technology intelligence, field data analysis, competitor car benchmarking and participation in standardization activities in early phases
• Secure requirement fulfilment by cascading requirements, following requirement fulfilment from design areas, their documentation, FMEA, hardware reviews and verification result to our own complete vehicle verification
• Be involved in project to balance requirements and evaluate conflict of interests with other attribute areas to find the best solution
• Have continuous contact with the project to report the status
• Support the organization in electrical system and HW design, electrical assembly, HW verification, materials and failure modes to evaluate electrical designs and validation of supplier capabilities

The role is challenging and you will develop your skills in requirement developing, electrical system development, electrical HW competence, automotive industry knowledge and a broad contact net both within and outside Volvo. We want you to grow with us!

If you have a BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and also have at least five years' experience from hardware development of electronics or designing electrical distribution system - do apply! We want you to be used to working with requirements development and to lead design tasks. Do you have solid knowledge of car technologies in general, and skills in analytical tolls (like FMEA, Six Sigma in specific) you are what we are looking for. As we are a global company, you need to be fluent in English - both written and spoken. Last but not least - as you will be part of a company that develops and drives the future of cars - you have a driving license B.
If you have experience within the automotive industry and have knowledge in applicable automotive standards and legal demands regarding electrical safety - we consider that as an advantage!
