Design of electrical modules and products and work with requirements definition, analysis using simulations/calculations, prototyping, realization (schematics, layout, assembly), testing, integration. Design embedded systems. Support existing modules and product upgrades. Work with suppliers on customized components. Documentation (design, schematics, layout, test reports etc.). Contribute to long-term development roadmaps. Keep up-to-date on technology and market trends. Identify problems in existing design or work items.
Education requirements: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on Power Electronics, power conversions, (Electro-)Magnetics, Modeling and control systems. Analytically very strong, capable of translating electronic and/or electromagnetic behavior into various models (ODE's, Laplace & Fourier transformations). GPA > 80%. Education pre's (not required): Masters program in top university (according to Times Higher Education ranking in EE). Higher power systems (kW-MW range). Sustainable power sources (solar, wind, tidal). Publication in IEEE transactions on Power Electronics. Experience requirements: Wireless power transfer systems based on magnetic induction. Consumer electronics or household appliances. Power measurement or Power Factor Correction. Experience pre's (not required): Power supplies and power conversion circuits. Test & Measurement equipment. Power distribution systems. Skills & personality: Effective communication skills. Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English. Analytical. Precise & attention for details. Can-do"-attitude. No 9-to-5 mentality.
