Group Managers within BiW & Chassis, Chassis Component Strength Analysis and Vehicle Dynamics
After a reorganization within Product Development we are changing our structure and going away from Technical Leaders and are now looking for Group Managers. Within department 86190, we are now looking for 4 Group Mangers, one for each of the areas within the department; BiW&Frame, Chassis Components, Strength Analysis and Vehicle Dynamics, each group with a size of 10-20 persons. Each group is responsible for the global technical deliveries (deliveries from sites in Sweden, Polen, Finland, Mexico and Brazil), but as a personnel responsibility you will only have employees in Gothenburg.

Tasks and responsibilities:
As a group manager you are a member of the department management group. The result of the team is important and you are measured by your ability to lead your own group as well as your support to the department’s development. In Volvo Buses it is crucial to have a holistic view and a cross functional way of working.
As a manager you will:
• define, agree, communicate and execute towards strategies and targets for the group
• develop and manage the business, working methods and people within your group
• continuously inspire, develop and motivate the people within your group
• have full budget responsibility
You should have the ability to adapt your leadership to different situations where broad technical know how combined with leadership skills are vital. Coaching and mentoring are natural parts of your daily tasks. You should further enjoy the possibilities that our global organization gives in terms of multicultural professional exchange.
Skills/Background required:
• University degree in engineering
• Experience from Management positions within line and/or project organization
• Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) from automotive design, production and/or manufacturing, preferably heavy vehicles
• Highly developed communication and cooperation skills
• Be able to create an inspiring climate and find joy in leading and developing people
• High business and customer focus
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Additional language knowledge is an advantage
