As a Group Compliance Officer in ASSA ABLOY, you have a leading role in promoting the importance of compliance and developing our compliance culture. It will enable you to team up with colleagues across the entire Group and continue building our culture of compliance and integrity in line with our company core values - Empowerment, Integrity and Innovation.
What you will be doing
As Group Compliance Officer, you have a key role in implementing our global compliance programs. You will have the opportunity to further develop our compliance practises with new initiatives and driving change. You will work closely with the divisional Compliance Officers with a responsibility to monitor and follow-up implementation, aligning and sharing best practice across the compliance function and taking the lead in developing compliance initiatives and setting yearly targets. Further, you are expected to continuously assess how the compliance work can be improved by deploying digital solutions. You will also have an instrumental role in managing the Code of Conduct and its whistleblowing process and you are part of the Group Code of Conduct committee. In addition, you will be leading the efforts to create awareness and understanding of compliance by developing communication and training initiatives.
The compliance function is part of the legal function you will report to Group General Counsel. In this role you will work together with numerous functions across the Group including divisional Compliance Officers and other functions which have important roles in supporting the development of a compliance culture such as HR, Internal Audit and Communication, as well as senior management. The job location is Stockholm.
What we are looking for
The position requires a Master of Law degree and around ten years of professional experience of which at least 5 is from a similar position within compliance. Your expertise includes comprehensive knowledge within compliance and particularly within the anti-corruption, anti-trust and export control areas. You have solid experience from working in an international company, preferably in the manufacturing industry. You have a business understanding and can put compliance into a business context and convey how good compliance practises helps managing risks and be a competitive advantage. You have excellent communication skills and prefer to make an impact by cooperating with and convincing colleagues who may not always have compliance on top of their mind. You understand that creating a compliance culture is a journey and you have the ability to prioritize and balance implementation ambitions with sound considerations for resources.
Since English is our corporate language, you have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. ASSA ABLOY is a global company and we expect you to interact internationally as well as being able to deal with diverse cultures.
