• To drive the development of financial reporting for the Volvo Group through policies and instructions to secure world class external financial information
• To ensure that true, accurate and timely consolidated financial information according to Volvo accounting principles is provided to Group management and BA:s
Group Accounting is a function within Volvo Group reporting, Tax & Control with responsibility for the external financial reporting including the consolidation process within the Volvo Group. Within Group Accounting, we are responsible for issuing and updating of accounting policies and instructions, as well as analyzing the financial information reported by our subsidiaries.
Within Group Accounting you will be part of a global and diverse team of skilled and high performance professionals who work in an open and positive atmosphere with passion and hold trust in each other. We are enthusiastic about our work which also involves having a lot of discussions and some good laughs with each other. Even though everyone has their own area of expertise (such as assets, cash flow or RnD) we are willing to give each other a helping hand when needed. This is a social job and you will have the opportunity to work in close co-operation with all the Truck organizations, Business areas and other functions at AB Volvo which will give you a broad understanding about the Volvo Group and possibilities to work with and learn more about additional areas other than your own area of expertise.
As a Group Accounting Specialist you are the subject matter expert for your area of responsibility. You contribute in Volvo Group's closing and consolidation process by ensuring a correct application of Volvo Group's accounting policies and procedures and will actively take part in the closing by collecting information, performing calculations and make postings in the consolidation system. You will contribute in the preparation of external reports (quarterly and yearly) and will be in contact with internal and external auditors. You will also be involved in implementing accounting processes and support management with adhoc analysis.

Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience and knowledge
• Working experience from finance department including analysis of company reporting and/or consolidation
• Experience in BCS/Analysis for office applications and user knowledge in Microsoft office
• Experience from Volvo Financial Reporting processes is a plus
• All documentation is in English, why proficiency in the English language is required
• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish is a requirement
